About Us
The Waterford Inne
Nestled in the rolling hills of Oxford County, The Waterford Inne has been welcoming guests to a slower, sweeter pace of life in the western Maine lakes region for decades. Our lovingly restored 19th-century farmhouse sits on a working property surrounded by gardens, stone walls, and the kind of quiet that city life rarely allows. Whether you're escaping for a romantic weekend, celebrating a milestone, or simply craving a few nights away from the rush, we offer a warm, unhurried retreat that feels like coming home to a place you've never been.
What sets us apart is our commitment to the table. Our farm-to-table dining program draws on seasonal ingredients grown right here on our property and sourced from trusted neighbors across the Oxford Hills. Guests gather each evening for a prix-fixe dinner prepared with care and creativity — think roasted heritage chicken with garden herbs, heirloom tomato bisque, and freshly baked breads still warm from the oven. Breakfast is equally intentional: eggs from our own hens, local maple syrup, wild blueberry preserves, and whatever the season has offered up that week.
We believe a great inn is more than comfortable beds and a pretty view — it's the people who welcome you, the food that nourishes you, and the land that restores you. Our small, dedicated team takes genuine pride in every detail, from the handmade quilts on your bed to the wildflowers on your dinner table. Come stay a while. Western Maine has a way of getting under your skin, and we wouldn't have it any other way.
